    • Create a new iBook
    • Insert:
      • Keynote Presentation 
        • Insert Keynote widget & drag Keynote file
      • Video  
        • import to Quicktime & Export 
        • import into iMovie & insert from "Media" option
      • Audio  
        • Create / Import into Garageband & Export to iTunes as an ACC file
        • Insert into iBook from "Media" option (ACC files only)
      • Images - Drag and drop or import into iPhoto

  • Create content on an iPad to then insert into an iBook

Pushing Class Content & Controlling Student iPads

  • Nearpod - push a PDF presentation to student iPads & control what they can see
  • www.nearpod.com- upload PDF, insert interactive elements, publish
    • Must upgrade to free "Silver" account in order to upload content
  • Nearpod Teacher App - run a class
  • Nearpod Student App - enter a class

 

Distribution - Cloud Storage Distribution

Distribution with Apple iBookstore

  • Create in iBooksAuthor
  • "Publish" from iBooksAuthor
  • Requires an iTunes Connect Account
    • Download iTunes Producer to create package & upload to iBookstore
    • Wait for approval from Apple
  • If you are going to charge for a book it has to be sold through the Apple iBookstore

UPDATE - iTunesU is now open to all teachers without institutional approval or affiliation.
